The Private Sector Access Scheme is a way to help Tandridge District Council meet housing need in Tandridge. By working in partnership with local landlords the Council aims to offer housing to households who may not be able to access the private sector independently because they are unable to raise the deposit or pay rent in advance.
Households who are considered for the scheme are taken from the Housing Register and must have had a housing advice interview with a Housing Needs Officer who will inform them if they are eligible for the scheme.
You can now view properties available through this scheme on this website by clicking on the ‘Show All’ or ‘Private Rented’ links on the property search page. If you find a property you think you would be interested in please phone the Housing Needs section on 01883 732 782 to discuss your eligibility or for more information.
We aim to give you more choice in deciding where you want to live. Properties that are available for rent will be advertised each week. The first day of advertising will be on a Friday, the last day will be on a Wednesday.
You will not be able to bid or view properties on a Thursday.
You must then tell us which properties you are interested in. This process is known as bidding. You may only bid for a property if your application has been accepted onto our housing register. Your 'bid' must be registered by midnight on a Wednesday. You will be able to bid for up to three properties each week.
